My Story
Hello! Radio has been an adventure... taking me from Michigan to Knoxville, Tennessee, to New Hampshire and Connecticut.
I grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan spending hours at the Ice Arena near my house. I loved figure skating, but when my dream of going to the Olympics wasn't going to work out, I went with my other love: talking!
But first, college: Michigan State University, B.A. in Journalism 1st radio job: 92.1 The Edge in East Lansing, MI

My Favorite Things
My boy Norm... SO many dogs & cats need a "forever" home. The best thing to do is to ADOPT and give them the love they deserve. I fell in love with English Bulldogs years ago... & all of the extra care and vet visits that go along with the breed. I was the proud Mom of my beloved Sid for 10 yrs. When he went to Dog Heaven... I knew our home wouldn't be the same without another snoring, drooling, wonderful, chesty guy in it. We rescued our happy-go-lucky, Norm, through The Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network.
Look who I ran into on Free Comic Book Day on Saturday:
If I appear a bit scared, remember it's Darth Vadar of the "dark side"! I'm tall (5' 9")... but he towered over me... he has that death grip... and his Stormtroopers were close by!
Saturday (5/1) was Free Comic Book Day at comic book stores everywhere. I picked up some cool ones... Iron Man, Lady Gaga & DC Kids for my nephew.

Sandra Bullock's Baby Boy

Sandra Bullock and soon-to-be ex-husband, Jesse James, adopted a baby boy in January. They were waiting until after the Oscars to tell everyone, but then news broke about Jesse James cheating.
Louis Bardo Bullock is a 3 1/2 month old boy from New Orleans. Bullock tells People Magazine that "he's just perfect."
Now that she's filed for divorce from Jesse James, Bullock is finalizing the adoption as a single parent.
Captain Jack Sparrow sails the Black Pearl in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Now, Johnny Depp (aka Captain Jack) has his own pirate-themed yacht...the "Vajoliroja"!

The Most Beautiful Bulldog is...

Meatball! Meatball beat out 49 other drooling bulldogs on the blue carpet over the weekend to win the title at the 31st annual Beautiful Bulldog pageant in downtown Des Moines, Iowa.
As winner, Meatball received a key to the city, a royal cape and crown. He'll also make numerous public appearances at Drake University. His owners dressed him in a blue Drake University shirt...maybe that helped give him the edge over the bulldogs wearing tuxedos and other . I may be a bit biased, but my bulldog: Norman is the most beautiful boy to me!
Dinner in 20 Minutes

Serves 4 Hands-on Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients: 1 store-bought rotisserie chicken 2 cups store-bought red or green salsa 8 taco shells 1 cup (4 ounces) grated Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese 8 sprigs fresh cilantro (optional) 1/2 cup sour cream 1 avocado, chopped 1 lime, quartered
Directions: 1. Remove the meat from the chicken and shred.
2. Heat the salsa in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and heat until warmed through.
3. Fill the taco shells with the chicken mixture and top with the cheese and cilantro (if using). Serve with the sour cream, avocado, and lime wedges on the side.
Quick Tip: You can use soft corn or flour tortillas instead of crisp taco shells, or leftover roast beef or pork in place of chicken.
