Yesterday afternoon, my 12 year old daughter Eden and I were in the kitchen doing some chores and dancing to Elton John’s “Still Standing”, when her phone rang. It was her crush calling, and she ran out of the room, and facetimed with this boy. That sounds worse than it is, if you don’t have an iPhone, it’s like Judy Jetson’s phone. Anyway, after the call, I offered her some advice. I said Eden, you should play hard to get. Don’t always answer or text as soon as he calls. She asked how long she should wait, and I told her until she was 21.
