Reese Witherspoon apologized Sunday for her actions in Atlanta over the weekend that ended with her arrest for disorderly conduct. Reese was taken in after she mouthed off to a police officer while her husband Jim Toth was being arrested for DUI. "Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said," said Reese in a statement. "It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior." Meanwhile, Reese won't be talking about the arrest on TV anytime soon. She was supposed to appear on several talk shows to promote her new movie Mud, but has now cancelled all interviews, including tonight's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and a planned stop at Good Morning America.
