Lindsay Lohan’s former assistant has turned against her. Radaronline reports that Gavin Doyle has been cooperating with prosecutors and is expected to be a key witness at her upcoming trial. Lindsay has been charged with lying to cops in connection with her California car accident last year. She reportedly told officers she wasn’t driving the car at the time of the accident, but Gavin, who was a passenger in the vehicle, “will testify that Lindsay was driving the car that day.” “Lindsay will likely be stunned at Gavin’s willingness to cooperate with the case against her,” said the insider. “Gavin just wants Lindsay to get her life together. If Lindsay doesn’t reach a plea deal in the case, Gavin will testify against her, and he won’t be forced to do it.”
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan didn’t care for Charlie Sheen’s comments over the weekend about wanting to be her mentor. Sources tell TMZ that while Lindsay appreciates what Charlie has already done for her, she would never take him up on that offer. The insider adds that Lindsay knows her life is “out of control,” but doesn’t believe in the idea of “it takes one to know one.”
LaToya Jackson is ready to make some money off her dead brother’s children. According to the New York Post, LaToya, who is currently appearing on All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, has signed Michael Jackson’s three children, Prince, 16, Paris, 15, and ten-year-old Blanket, to her new talent agency and is acting as their manager, which means she’ll get 15% of whatever they earn. (They are her only clients.) Although her brother was fiercely private about his kids, LaToya is hoping to exploit them, and is already shopping a reality show featuring the trio, with Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network interested to the tune of $10 million. Prince seems to be the first to land a career in showbiz. He’s already worked as a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, and will appear on an upcoming episode of 90210. Paris is expected to shoot her first film later this year. LaToya has denied all the allegations. "La Toya nor her company represent any of MJ’s children in any legal capacity nor has she received any commissions or payment as a result of their individual ventures,” read a statement from her publicist. “Furthermore, there is no shopping of a reality show for the children... LaToya is currently consulting with her attorneys on how to proceed against these false and derogatory statements made by The NY Post and other participating publications.”
Q-In birth order of Katherine and Joe Jackson’s ten children, which is LaToya? She is the fifth kid. [Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Michael, Randy, Janet . Marlon’s twin died shortly after birth.]
Sounds like Bradley Cooper isn’t upset he lost the Oscar to Daniel Day Lewis. In a new interview with British GQ, the Silver Linings Playbook star says it doesn’t matter to him whether or not he ever receives the honor. “I don’t want to win an Oscar. It would change nothing. Nothing,” he says. “The things in my life that aren’t fulfilled would not be fulfilled. Career-wise, right now, it’s better that I don’t win one. I don’t want to win. I don’t.” Cooper says that watching his dad die in 2011 made him realize he shouldn’t worry about such trivial things. “I watched him dying and I was there by his bed watching him, breathing with him, and then I saw his last breath and he was gone,” he said. “I experienced the whole thing. And that was a watershed moment that I was privileged to experience. And it changed everything. Nothing has ever been the same since.” He adds, “You know William Blake’s ‘Songs Of Innocence’? Well, right there, in that moment, the innocence was gone. Done. Never to return. The beauty is that I just don’t sweat sh*t anymore.”
As expected, Barbara Walters returned to The View yesterday. “After a lot of scratching and rest, I am fine and I am healthy,” said the 83-year-old, who lifted her bangs to show the audience a chicken pox bump and a tiny scar from her fall, for which she was hospitalized back in January. Barbara said she had chicken pox at the time of her hospitalization, which she didn’t realize, and likely got it from hugging an actor, “who shall be nameless,” she said. Turns out, the actor had shingles. "If you have never had chickenpox" — and Walters never had — "you can get it from someone with shingles," she explained. Walters said she spent her time off resting and watching The View, adding, “I was able to scream and yell at you on the screen every day.” [See About Last Night Afternoon for audio.]
Adrienne Maloof yesterday confirmed the rumors that she is leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. "To my loyal fans . . . It was time to exit RHOBH. The show served as a wonderful platform, stay tuned!" she tweeted Monday. "I am forever grateful to my fans, thank you for your support!" Although Maloof is making it sound like it was her decision to leave, People reports she was actually fired. “She was let go,” an insider told the magazine. “Producers were sick of her constant tardiness and her issues.”
Keeping Up With the Kardashians is adding another man. Brody Jenner, Bruce Jenner’s 29-year-old son, is expected to appear in new episodes of the series when it returns for its eighth season in July. A rep for Brody confirms the news, telling Us he “is joining the show, but may not be in every episode. It depends on the storyline.” Brody is no stranger to reality TV. He previously appeared on MTV’s The Hills and Bromance.
Game of Thrones star Lena Headey is worried for her two-year-old son. The actress recently filed papers asking a judge to block her estranged husband Peter Loughran from taking their son to Ireland. In the docs she argues that Peter is too reckless to care for the child, and that he has exhibited bad judgment and can’t be alone with the kid. As an example she attached two pictures Peter posted online of himself toting an AK-47. She also said Peter has severe alcohol issues. According to TMZ, the judge sided with Lena and refused to allow Peter to take the child to Ireland.
Miley Cyrus stepped out with a new look over the weekend. On Friday, the 20-year-old former Disney star was spotted with what appeared to be blue hair, but Miley says that’s not the case. “My hurr ain’t blue,” she tweeted. “That s**ts PLATINUM.”
Brendan Fraser spends a lot of money every month. The Mummy star is trying to reduce the $50,000 a month in alimony payments he sends his ex-wife, and recently filed documents in Connecticut to prove that his financial situation is dire and he can no longer afford the hefty sum. According to the papers, while Fraser makes over $205,000 a month, he spends over $112,000 a month on professional expenses, like managers and agents, which leaves him about $93,000. In addition, his other expenses, like alimony, mortgages, child support and staffing, cost another $87,000. But TMZ adds Fraser’s assets are worth just under $25 million, so he’s not exactly destitute.
Q-Fraser starred opposite Ian McKellen in what 1998 film? Gods and Monsters
Gita Hall May, a model from the 50s and 60s, has filed a lawsuit against Lionsgate Entertainment claiming a 50-year-old picture of her is being used in the opening credits of AMC’s Mad Men without her permission. In the suit Hall, who is now 79, says she only gave permission for the picture to be used in an ad for Revlon in the early 1960s. Although the show’s been using the picture since 2007, Hall claims she only learned her face was featured in the credits last year, when the series became available on home video. She is now demanding compensation.
Q-Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner was also a writer and producer of what HBO mob drama? The Sopranos
Directors Lana and Andy Wachowski are being sued by a man who claims they stole his idea for their sequels to The Matrix. Thomas Althouse has filed a $300 million lawsuit claiming the siblings lifted ideas for The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions from his script The Immortals, which he claims to have submitted to Warner Bros. (the studio behind the Matrix films) back in 1993. Althouse says he hadn’t seen the Matrix flicks until 2010 and immediately recognized the similarities to his script, including robot-like agents dressed in suits, plugs coming from the back of characters’ necks and characters trapped in a train station. He is suing the Wachowskis, Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver for copyright infringement.
Q-The Wachowskis’ most recent film starred Oscar winners Halle Berry and Tom Hanks in multiple roles. What was the film? Cloud Atlas
LeAnn Rimes took a dig at rival Brandi Glanville in a new interview with the UK paper Metro. Asked about Glanville’s constant interviews with tabloids about LeAnn and Eddie Cibrian’s relationship, the country star told the paper, “it’s an ongoing story…but it’s involved some very wrong information.” She added, “I try to let it roll off my back but it’s gone on for a long time.” She then took a jab at Brandi, saying, “I have a talent, I can sing. I don’t earn my money from trying to hurt people or get in the tabloids.”
Fans get to vote on American Idol starting tonight, and now they have a new way to do it. The show is kicking off something called SuperVote in which the public can cast 50 votes all at once via AmericanIdol.com, the Idol mobile app or Facebook. They can choose to submit all their votes for one contestant or allocate them to various performers.
Wings star Steven Weber is back on the market. The actor’s wife of 17 years, former MTV host Juliette Hohnen, filed for divorce in Los Angeles in early February citing “irreconcilable differences.” According to the docs, they’ve been separated since October. The couple married in 1995 and have two sons, ages 10 and 12. Hohnen is asking for joint legal and physical custody, as well as spousal support.
Q-Weber played a network executive on what short-lived NBC drama from Aaron Sorkin? Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
Al Pacino’s love life certainly seems to be going well. The 72-year-old actor was spotted diningwith his 32-year-old girlfriend Lucila Sola in Los Angeles Sunday night. The Oscar winner and the Argentinian actress have reportedly been dating for about three years.
Q-Al Pacino has twin sons with his ex-girlfriend, star of National Lampoon’s Vacation. Who is she? Beverly D’Angelo
Modern Family stars Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet were stuck in an elevator together at the Sheraton Hotel in Kansas City over the weekend. The trio was in town for a fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club, and was caught in the elevator with 12 other people for about an hour. They passed the time tweeting, with Ferguson at one point posting a video of everyone chanting “Get us out.” Afterwards Stonestreet tweeted, “I honestly handled being stuck in an elevator for 50min better than I thought. All @jessetyler did was pass wind.”
