LINDSAY PLEADS NOT GUILTY

Even though Lindsay Lohan fired attorney Shawn Holley on Monday, Holley was in a Los Angeles court yesterday pleading not guilty on Lindsay’s behalf. When asked by the judge if she was still representing the actress, Holley replied, “at this point yes.” Lindsay is charged with lying to cops in connection with her June car accident. A pretrial date has been scheduled for January 30th and Lindsay has been ordered to appear. In addition, a probation violation hearing has been set for February 27th which she must also attend.  TMZ reported yesterday that before her firing, Holley had negotiated a plea deal that would have allowed Lindsay to avoid jail time if she agreed to check into a “lockdown rehab” for six months. Holley was allegedly on her way to the courthouse to meet with prosecutors when she was informed she’d been fired by the actress.  Instead, Lindsay hired attorney Mark Heller (who was suspended for five years in the 90s) to handle both her New York assault case, and her LA case, even though he isn’t licensed to practice in California. Meanwhile, Radaronline reports that Lindsay actually owes Holley more than $300,000 in unpaid legal fees. Apparently Lindsay hasn’t paid her in more than a year.

KIMYE DUE IN JULY/NOT RUSHING TO WED

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal baby won’t be the only famous tot born in July. Kim Kardashian revealed on Today yesterday that she and Kanye West will welcome their bundle of joy in July as well, although Kim says she still finds it hard to believe she’s pregnant. “I think until I really start seeing, like, a belly, it won’t sink in,” she said. “It’s just, like a weird realization.”  Kim also revealed that she dealt with some fertility issues before finally getting knocked up. “Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues, and I think I was always really kind of quiet about mine," she said. "I have similar issues, and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens.” Kim still isn’t divorced from NBA star Kris Humphries, but even if she was, a wedding to Kanye wouldn’t necessarily be in the works. “It’s something we talk about” she said, but added that they are currently, “focusing on the baby.” Said Kim, “I’m just so content with how things are right now and how life is and we’re happy…We definitely want that in the future. OPRAH CALLS ARMSTRONG INTERVIEW EMOTIONAL, EXPANDS TO TWO NIGHTS

Oprah Winfrey told CBS This Morning that disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong was “emotional” during their two-and-a-half hour sit-down in Texas earlier this week. “There were a couple times where he was emotional, but emotional doesn’t begin to describe the intensity or the difficulty I think he experienced in talking about some of these things,” said Oprah. “I went in prepared having to dig and pull and to reference. I didn’t have to do that because he was pretty forthcoming.”  Because of the length of the interview, Oprah has decided to turn it into a two-night special, which will air tomorrow and Friday. “We felt to leave over half of this on the cutting room floor … would not be the right thing to do,” she said. ELTON JOHN A DAD AGAIN

Although Elton John and partner David Furnish denied last week they welcomed a new addition to their family, the couple has now confirmed their second son was born Friday in California.  Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John was born via surrogate at 6:40 pm. “Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way,” they told Hello! “It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.” Elijah joins son Zachary who turned two on Christmas day.

FOSTER TO TELL KIDS ABOUT FATHER AT 21

The mother of one of Jodie Foster’s closest friends tells The Mail the actress has yet to tell her sons Charlie, 14, and Kit, 12, who their father is, but she plans to do so when they turn 21. Reverend Beverly Bates, 75, is the mother of the late movie producer Randy Stone, who was rumored to be the boys’ dad, but Bates says her son never confirmed the reports to her. “He said he could never tell me because Jodie was his best friend...it was a secret he took to his grave, that was how much he loved Jodie,’” said Bates. He did tell his mom that Jodie planned to reveal the identity of the father when the boys turned 21, and Bates says she’s anxious to know as well. She said, “I would love to know if Randy is the boys’ father. I personally think he gave Jodie the gift, but she will never tell me.”

In a recent InStyle magazine article, Zero Dark Thirty star Jessica Chastain said she would never date an actor, but The Mail claims she’s had a change of heart. According to the tab, the actress, who just won a Golden Globe Award, is dating The Avengers’ Tom Hiddleston. “Tom is taken with Jess and it’s serious,” claims a source. “Before Christmas, she visited Britain to stay with him and meet all of his family for the first time.” But it appears Jessica may actually be sticking to her word. Nicki Minaj discussed her blowup with fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey on yesterday’s Ellen DeGeneres show.  The “Starships” singer insists she’s “not a crazy psycho,” but was reacting because she was hurt that Mariah didn’t want her on the panel. “I don’t know. It was just two big old divas, I guess,” Nicki told Ellen. At first Nicki said she didn’t believe reports that Mariah didn’t want her there, but as auditions began, she started to believe them. “I went there and I started to feel a bit of the shade. In this month’s Esquire magazine, Megan Fox opens up about her religious upbringing and admits she began speaking in tongues at the age of 8 after going to a Pentecostal church. "The energy is so intense in the room that you feel like anything can happen," she says. "You know how palpable the energy is? Whatever's going on there, it's for real." Megan says she’s seen "magical, crazy things" happen in church, explaining, "I've seen people be healed. Even now, in the church I go to, during Praise and Worship I could feel that I was maybe getting ready to speak in tongues, and I'd have to shut it off because I don't know what that church would do if I started screaming out in tongues in the back." January 22nd will mark five years since Heath Ledger died of an accidental drug overdose, and his parents Kim and Sally Ledger have opened up to the Australian magazine New Idea about their son and the daughter he left behind. “Matilda is indeed very much like her dad – she has long limbs and similar features,” Sally said of Heath’s 7-year-old daughter with Michelle Williams. “However, she also possesses the beauty of her mamma – lucky girl.” Sally said Matilda is “is such a respectful little kid,” and adds,   “Our family has the most wonderful relationship with both Matilda and Michelle. GARBER DISCUSSES BOYFRIEND OF 13 YEARS

Alias’ Victor Garber, who currently stars on the new NBC show Deception, quietly confirmed that he is gay during an interview at the Television Critics Association press tour earlier this month. “I don’t talk about it but everyone knows,” the 63-year-old actor told blogger Greg Hernandez about his 13-year-relationship with artist and model Rainer Andreesen. “He’s going to be out here with me for the SAG Awards.”  Although some sites are claiming Garber’s interview was his first official coming out, he’s spoken about Rainer in the past.  Last April he told a Canadian interviewer, “My companion Rainer Andreesen and I have been together almost 13 years in Greenwich Village. We both love New York.”

SHEEN TO BE A GRANDDAD

Charlie Sheen revealed on The Late Show with David Letterman earlier this week that he’s going to be a grandfather. Charlie’s 28-year-old daughter Cassandra Estevez (her mother is Charlie’s high school girlfriend Paula Speert) is expecting her first child. Letterman actually pushed Charlie into admitting the news, which he called “fabulous,” although he admitted that grandpa is “not a title I’m ready to adopt.” When asked whether he thought he’d make a good grandfather, Charlie replied, “yeah, because you can leave the kid.”

HONEY BOO BOO’S UNCLE POODLE REVEALS HE’S HIV POSITIVE

Honey Boo Boo’s Uncle Poodle, aka Lee Thompson, has revealed that he is HIV positive.  In an interview with Atlanta’s Fenuxe magazine , Thompson says he was diagnosed with HIV last year.  "I was adamant about getting my HIV status checked on a regular basis," he says. "On March 16, 2012, I tested negative. Then, in May of 2012, my test results came back positive. I knew it had been my boyfriend who infected me. I later learned he had been HIV-positive and was not taking medication and had not bothered to tell me about it." Thompson said he was told to press charges against his ex, which he did so “hesitantly.” The man is now serving five years in jail. "I would have been cool with his HIV status if he had been honest," he told the mag. "I don't have an issue with the disease. I would have known how to protect myself." He adds that anyone, gay or straight, who does not protect themselves “are damn fools,” adding, “They are playing Russian roulette; they are playing with their lives and that of their sexual partners."

CRAZY TONY BANNED FROM BOO BOO

There will be one less person on the next season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. TMZ reports that Mama June has banned Crazy Tony from appearing in any more episodes, after Tony was arrested in November for taking part in a prank in which a man dressed in a gorilla suit was scaring people on the side of a highway.  June tells TMZ she currently doesn’t feel comfortable having Tony on the show. “We love him as a friend…but that was a crazy story,” she said. “Not trying to be mean, but we want to keep it family oriented.” June also wants to clarify that Tony is not a “cousin,” but simply a family friend. Tony is said to be upset about the news, telling TMZ, “TV has changed that family.”

FURLONG ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Terminator 2 star Edward Furlong was arrested Sunday morning in Los Angeles for allegedly attacking his girlfriend, his third domestic violence charge in three months.  In October he was busted at LAX for bruising his girlfriend’s leg during an argument, and in November he was accused of another incident.  Furlong pled not guilty yesterdayl but he is still in police custody.

The Killing’s Billy Campbell has joined the cast of the indie romantic comedy 10 Things I Hate About Life. The flick reunites Campbell with his Once & Again daughter Evan Rachel Wood. She and actor Thomas McDonnell play a couple who meet as both are attempting to commit suicide at the same “jumping-off point.” Campbell will play McDonnell’s father.

Disney has announced that a fifth installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise will hit theaters July 10th, 2015. Other release dates announced include: The Muppets 2, March 21st, 2014; Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent, July 2nd, 2014; George Clooney’s sci-fi epic 1952, December 19th, 2014 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, April 4th, 2014.

TV TIDBITS

AMC has changed their mind with regards to The Killing. Although last year the network said it wasn’t picking up the show for a third season, yesterday they officially announced that it will be back. Stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman will return for season three, but Billy Campbell and Michelle Forbes will not.

TV Line reports that former Felicity star Scott Foley is joining ABC’s Scandal for a “major arc” at the end of the season. This will be Foley’s second gig on a Shonda Rhimes series. He was previously on Grey’s Anatomy.

Jessica Simpson has signed on to star in a new scripted comedy for NBC. The yet-to-be-titled series will be inspired by the Fashion Star judge’s life. "I am so excited to work with…NBC again, this time on a scripted comedy,” said Jess, who is pregnant with her second child. “I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life -- so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we'll have people laughing!"

Lifetime has cancelled Drop Dead Diva after four seasons.
