BRITNEY ENGAGEMENT CALLED OFF
Britney Spears is back on the market. The popstar announced Friday that she and fiancé Jason Trawick have ended their engagement. "Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement," Spears said in the statement. "I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends." According to TMZ, Jason has already been removed as Britney’s co-conservator, and Brit has already returned the $90,000 ring Jason gave her. The site claims kids were a major issue between the couple. Britney really wanted to add to her family, but while Jason loved Brit’s two sons, he did not want any more. Britney also confirmed on Friday what everyone already knew - she won’t be back for season another of The X Factor. "I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio," Spears said. "Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most." Finally, TMZ reports that Britney is close to signing on to for a residency at a Las Vegas hotel.

Jason Sudeikis is ready to make an honest woman out of girlfriend Olivia Wilde. Various outlets are reporting that the couple, who have been dating since December 2011, has gotten engaged. According to sources, the SNL star popped the question just after the holidays.

After ten years of pretending to bump Matt Damon from his show, Jimmy Kimmel will finally welcome the actor to his couch on January 24th . Although Damon has made periodic cameos on Jimmy Kimmel Live, this will be the first time he’s ever sat down for an interview on the late night program.

MISS NEW YORK NAMED MISS AMERICA
Miss New York Mallory Hagan was crowned Miss America on Saturday in Las Vegas. The 23-year-old from Brooklyn, NY, tapped dance to James Brown’s “Get Up Off That Thing” during the talent round, wore a white gown on the runway and a black string bikini for the bathing suit competition. During the interview portion she was asked whether arm guards belonged in schools. "I don't think the proper way to fight violence is with violence," she replied. "I think the proper way is to educate people on guns and the ways we can use them properly. We can lock them up, we can have gun safety classes, we can have a longer waiting period." Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers came in second, while Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton came in third.
KATE MIDDLETON PORTRAIT UNVEILED!
The official portrait of the Duchess of Cambridge was unveiled Friday. The Duke and Duchess – aka William and Kate – visited the National Portrait Gallery to view the painting. "I thought it was brilliant," Kate said of the rendering. William also expressed his admiration, saying it was “absolutely beautiful.” The painting was created by artist Paul Emsley. But not everyone shared the Royals’ enthusiasm for it. Art critics slammed the portrait, saying it looked nothing like the real Kate. Sunday Times art critic Waldemar Januszczak called the portrait “pretty ordinary... He made her look older than she is and her eyes don't sparkle in the way that they do and there's something rather dour about the face.”
PITT HAS A NEW ENDORSEMENT DEAL!
Forget those much-parodied Chanel No. 5 ads! Brad Pitt’s got a new endorsement deal in the works! According to E! News, the actor has agreed to endorse Cadillac in print ads and TV commercials that will air in China. A source says he’ll earn $3 million for the deal. Earlier last week, Pitt joined Sino Weibo, China’s version of Twitter, and cryptically posted, “It is the truth. Yup, I’m coming…”

SHARON OSBOURNE SLAMS LADY GAGA!
And the Kelly Osbourne/Lady Gaga feud continues! Sharon Osbourne entered the fray last week and hit back at Lady Gaga for criticizing her daughter. In a Facebook post, the talk show host slammed the singer for accusing Kelly of being a bully in a letter posted on her LittleMonsters website. Sharon called Gaga a “hypocrite” and blasted Gaga’s use of meat and fur in her fashion statements. “Shouldn't you be teaching your 'little monster' fans to respect animals and life?" she wrote. Gaga fired back at Sharon’s comments on Facebook over the weekend, writing, “The ‘real world’ can be cruel, why not try to change it into a better place? I am an activist. Nobody takes adolescents seriously, I do. My letter to Kelly Osbourne was open, because her statements on cyber-bulling were public & as a youth activist I’m compelled to be involved.” The feud all started when Kelly made some comments about Gaga on Fashion Police. Gaga didn’t take kindly to this and took to her website to respond.
