Looks like Beyonce will be rocking the Super Bowl. Sources leaked the news yesterday to the AP that the NFL was expected to announce later today that Bey will perform during the halftime show for Super Bowl XL VII, which airs on CBS February 3rd from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. After the leak, Beyonce decided to confirm the news on her website with a photograph, featuring Bey with black face paint under her eyes with "Feb 3" and "2013" written on it.

BRIT’S NANNY TO TAKE THE STAND IN LUTFI TRIAL!
Britney Spears’ former nanny will reportedly take the stand this week as a witness for Brit’s former manager Sam Lutfi, who is suing the Spears family. Radaronline reports that Lourdes Torres, who was nanny to Brit’s two sons, plans to testify that she feels Britney “was being emotionally manipulated” throughout her court-ordered conservatorship. The source says Lourdes “will blow the lid off of what was really going on,” adding she quit her job “because she was so disturbed by what she saw was happening to Britney.” Lutfi is suing Britney’s parents for breach of contract, libel and defamation for comments Lynne Spears made in her book. Lynne, as well as Brit’s dad Jamie and fiancé Jason Trawick, are supposed to testify in the case. As of now, Britney is not expected to take the stand. “Britney doesn’t want to see Sam Lutfi or be in the same room with him again, ever,” claims an insider. “Britney is terrified of Sam and has very bad memories about the time he was involved in her life.”
JAKE GYLLENHAAL’S ROMNEY ENDORSEMENT A FAKE!
It was reported yesterday that outspoken liberal Jake Gyllenhaal may have switched sides and endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, but the whole thing turned out to be a hoax. Someone with the Twitter handle @Jake_Gyllenhaal tweeted, “As a Democrat, I’ll say it now, I endorse Mitt Romney For President of the United States #MyVoteIs Made.” Several sites, including the Drudge Report, picked up the story, as did Romney’s son Tagg, but the whole thing was a fake. Turns out Gyllenhaal does not have a Twitter account. The endorsement came from an unverified fan account, which was clearly labeled as such.

Although Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer have yet to officially announce their separation, Danielle’s father appears to have confirmed the news. Don Spencer, a former children’s TV show presenter, told WHO magazine, “I love them both and am naturally sad as any father would be in this situation.” Meanwhile, Danielle’s Dancing with the Stars partner, Damian Whitewood, who some are blaming for her decision to end the marriage, has commented about the speculation. He tweeted, “Wow! Sad and crazy news full of rumors I didn’t ask for!” Insiders say that even though Russell and Danielle’s separation was just revealed, it had been “on” for months. Sources say they have been living in separate homes for more than a year.

Kate Gosselin is out of work again. Since last November, the former reality show star had been blogging for the money saving website CouponCabin, but she has now been fired from the gig. "A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago," CEO Scott Kluth posted on his website Tuesday in an open letter. "And that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin."

Matthew Fox had lots of trouble with the law in the past year or so and now wants to set the record straight. Although a female bus driver accused Fox of assault, and his Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan tweeted that Fox was a “woman beater,” the actor insists none of it is true. “It’s been a long trying year of sitting on my hands on a lot of negative s*** said about me when they’re the furthest things from who I am,” Fox, who stars in the new movie Alex Cross, tells Men’s Fitness. “In the 46 years I’ve been breathing on this planet, I have never hit a woman before. Never have, never will.” He adds, “Out of all the negative s***, the only thing that’s true is that I was arrested for DUI.” Fox was busted for DUI in May, and says his behavior was “stupid,” and it won’t happen again. And apparently the couple will soon be living near each other. TMZ reports that Kristen just spent $2.2 million on a house in Los Feliz, CA, just 1.5 miles away from Pattinson. Paul Bettany voices the computer J.A.R.V.I.S. in all the Iron Man movies, but he recently admitted that he’s never seen any of the films. In fact, he joked to Digital Spy that he feels like he’s stealing money from the studio, explaining, “I walk in, I say some lines on a piece of paper for two hours, and then they give me a bag of money and I leave and I go about my day." There are very few people who believe the MTV show The Hills was real, but star Lauren Conrad says it wasn’t as fake as some people think. "I think the story they told wasn't a dishonest one. The way they did it sometimes was," Conrad, 26, tells Allure. "[The cameras] aren't going to be there for everything. Sometimes two of their main characters will get into a fight, and that's important to the story line. The [producers] need that reenacted. Their thing was always: It did happen. They're not making this up: you just didn't see it."

One day after he was sued by Hulk Hogan for secretly recording the wrestler having sex, Bubba The Love Sponge is now insinuating that Hogan may have had something to do with footage leaking. Johnny Depp is becoming a book publisher. The Pirates of the Caribbean star is starting his own imprint, named Infinitum Nihil, which will be division of HarperCollins. Already slated for release on Depp’s imprint is The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan by journalist Douglas Brinkley, which will come out in 2015.
MIDLER ACCEPTS GLEE INVITATION!
Glee continues to add guest stars to their lineup. During Monday’s God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards in New York, creator Ryan Murphy asked Bette Midler if she’d guest star on the show, and Midler accepted. Midler later tweeted that she already has an idea for her role, writing, “I have one vote for Rachel’s grandmother…hmmm.” Meanwhile, American Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez has landed a recurring role on Glee. Details regarding her character have not been released, although rumors claim she’ll be a new love interest for Cory Monteith’s Finn.

Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro will guest star on this season’s last two episodes of Sons of Anarchy. He’ll play a member of the Biz Lats gang with close ties to Nero (Jimmy Smits). In addition, Jane’s Addiction will do a cover of “Sympathy for the Devil” for the SOA finale.
Jimmy Kimmel has landed his idol David Letterman as a guest. Kimmel is bringing his ABC late night show to Brooklyn at the end of the month, and Letterman has agreed to appear. Other guests for the BK week include Chris Rock, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Tracy Morgan. Jimmy Kimmel Live will take over the Brooklyn Academy of Music from October 28th to November 2nd.

ER’s Ron Eldard has landed a recurring role on FX’s Justified. He’ll play a new partner in crime for Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins), a sergeant with the military police who became friends with Boyd during his stint in Kuwait. Justified returns to FX in early 2013.

Jim Carrey will star in a yet-to-be titled action comedy directed by Napoleon Dynamite’s Jared Harris. The film focuses on a real-life $17 million heist of an armored car in Charlotte, NC in 1997.
Sony announced yesterday that Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium, starring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley, will hit theaters August 9th, 2013. It was originally scheduled to come out March 1st. Robocop, originally had the August 9th date, has now been pushed back to February 7th, 2014.
Mike Epps will play comedian Richard Pryor in Nina, the Nina Simone biopic starring Zoe Saldana. Simone helped Pryor build his confidence as a performer when he opened for her in the early sixties.
