MINAJ THREATENED CAREY DURING IDOL ARGUMENT!

Nicki Minaj did more than just curse at Mariah Carey during their American Idol argument Tuesday. Sources tell TMZ that in the heat of the fight Nicki threatened Mariah, saying, "If I had a gun I would shoot her." The threat was not caught on TMZ’s video, but that could be because it didn’t happen. A source close to Nicki denies the allegation. Sources say auditions went much better yesterday, and sources tell TMZ it appears Carey and Minaj may have buried the hatchet. They seemed civil during yesterday’s Charlotte, NC, auditions, with insiders claiming everyone was “embarrassed”  the fight was caught on tape.

SEACREST DISCUSSES IDOL FIGHT!

Meanwhile, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest admitted yesterday, "It got heated between Nicki and Mariah," adding, "It was intense! I'll be honest with you. .. It went far last night. It did get intense." But Seacrest believes the tension is only good for the show. "We want that!,” he said. “We want them to be on this panel together. This is a good team, a great team, to go out and look for the next American Idol . . . the feedback that they give is very good." As for the disagreement, Ryan explained, "These are all very different individuals with different perspectives and different opinions that provide for interesting conversation and dialogue and feedback for the contestants. [There's] nothing wrong with disagreeing . . . That's gonna happen, and it's okay."

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s marriage had been in trouble for at least six months before Katie surprised her husband, and the world, by filing for divorce. The National Enquirer got a hold of the couple’s divorce papers, which state the “marital relationship” had “broken down irretrievably for a period of at least six months immediately preceding” the filing. Although the couple wed in Italy on November 18th, 2006, the papers say they were officially married one week earlier “in a civil ceremony” in Los Angeles. As for child support, Tom agreed to pay $400,000 a year to cover Suri’s “medical, dental, insurance, unreimbursed medical and dental, education, college, extracurricular and camp expenses.”

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise’s other ex Nicole Kidman is denying reports she reached out to Katie Holmes after she left the actor. "I never spoke to her. I wish all of them well, but I was not involved in any of that," Kidman tells WHO magazine. As for why she thinks her marriage to Tom ended, Nicole explained, “I got married really fast and really young. But I don't regret that because it got me [children] Bella and Connor and I did have a fantastic marriage for a long period."

THE SITUATION DENIES HE’S NOT SOBER!

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is denying an Us Weekly report that claims he has fallen off the wagon. The mag reported that on September 26th the Jersey Shore star was at West Hollywood’s London hotel, where a witness claimed to see him “downing so many cocktails he could barely stand.”  An insider claims that Jersey Shore’s ending is to blame for Mike’s drinking, explaining, “Mike’s freaking out about what he’s going to do after the show.” But a rep for Mike insists the story is “ridiculous.” “There was a pitcher of sangria in the cabana at the (hotel’s) pool and a group of about 12 people,” said the rep, who adds The Situation “did not drink it.” In fact, Mike told Ellen DeGeneres earlier this week that he’s been sober for eight months. Said Mike, “I’m…probably the healthiest I’ve been since I was 21.”

Jennifer Lopez’s rep is denying a National Enquirer report that claims the former American Idol judge is fighting with her ex Marc Anthony over their twins Max and Emme. According to the tab, J.Lo wants the kids to follow in her footsteps and get into showbiz. “Jennifer has set her mind on becoming a ‘momager’ to little Max and his sister Emme,” an insider tells the tab. “But Marc is insisting they go to school like normal kids, and then when they’re 18, they can decide what they want to do with their lives.”  Marc is also mad because he thinks J.Lo’s boyfriend Casper Smart is influencing his ex-wife’s decisions regarding the children . HOME INVASION REPORT AT KUTCHER’S HOME TURNS OUT TO BE A HOAX!

Police were called to Ashton Kutcher’s LA home yesterday by someone claiming a home invasion robbery was taking place and shots were fired. Cops say they got a teletext messge from someone who said they locked themselves in the bathroom, while three Russian men with weapons were robbing the home. But the whole thing turned out to be a hoax, and cops are saying it’s a case of “swatting,” in which a caller tricks 911 by reporting a serious, yet phony crime. The same thing recently happened to Miley Cyrus.  Cops believe whoever made the call may have been spying on Ashton’s home because they knew there were three workers inside, the same number of people they claimed were robbing the joint. None of the workers are suspects.

DIAZ LOVES BEING 40!

Cameron Diaz turned 40 in August and she feels better than ever. “For the first time in my life I’m content,” she tells Esquire magazine. “I’m so excited. Getting older is the best part of life. Like, I know more than I’ve known in years.” She adds, “I have gratitude. I know myself better. I feel more capable than ever. And as far as the physicality of it, I feel better at 40 than I did at 25.”  Diaz is currently single, and when asked why she never married, she replied, “I’m smart! No, it’s hard to say. It just wasn’t the thing I was drawn to. I certainly didn’t want it in my 20s. Or my 30s. So we’ll see.”

The Real Housewives of Miami’s Joanna Krupa is fuming over a website that claims she has been paid to have sex.  TheDirty.com’s Nik Richie recently posted an article titled “Joanna Krupa Is a Confirmed Hooker.” In it, Richie says a man told him he paid $10,000 to an escort agency to sleep with the former Playboy model. Writes Richie, “The Real Housewives of Miami should have done a better background check.”   Krupa, of course, denies the accusation, calling the situation “an extremely serious matter.” She has also threatened to sue Richie, who is refusing to remove the story.

Now this is what we call an exciting city tour.  Some lucky tourists on a bus tour through Los Angeles got quite an eyeful earlier this week when they came across soccer star David Beckham shooting an underwear campaign for H&M.  The superstar, who was wearing only a pair of dark green boxers, seemed a bit embarrassed as the group of tourists snapped away. He wound up making a run for his car.

Two ABC reality show stars may be hooking up, according to Star magazine. The tab reports that Dancing with the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff is dating Bachelorette finalist Arie Luyendyk, Jr. (from Emily Maynard’s season). The pair reportedly met last week at a Dancing with the Stars premiere party thrown by Kym Johnson. “Everyone could see them – they were having a blast,” said a source. “If dating each other gets more headlines, they are all for it.” A rep for Smirnoff has denied the story.

FORMER SAVED BY THE BELL STAR SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISORDER!

Former Saved By The Bell star Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) recently gave a bizarre interview to People magazine, which her mother attributes to mental illness. The mag claims that during the interview Lark kept a “near-constant dialogue – by turns mournful, frenetic and angry – with unseen figures,” and struggled “to focus for even brief moments.”  Her mother Tricia, who lives with her, says Lark has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but adds that finding the right treatment, and getting Lark to stick with it, has been “frustrating.” Lark struggled so much during the interview that the mag had to set up another one. “We met at a very powerful moment – it’s like carrying on the interview in a hurricane,” she told the reporter, explaining away extended silences by saying, “You caught me in moments of prayer. I have a strong spiritual sense.” She did discuss hearing voices in her head, but was “defiant about getting psychiatric help.” She said, “they can’t explain it. They can’t treat it. They don’t know about it.”

TYLER PERRY BUYS DISABLED WOMAN NEW VAN!

Filmmaker Tyler Perry has come to the rescue of a Georgia woman with cerebral palsy whose van was stolen outside Atlanta. WSB-TV reports that Perry decided to donate a new vehicle to Alicia Day after hearing that the woman’s specially-equipped van was stolen from her Decatur driveway Sunday night. Day said when she learned of Perry’s gift her “mouth just dropped to the floor.”

PALTROW TO MAKE GO-GO’S MUSICAL!

Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to produce a musical based on the life of the 80s rock band The Go-Go’s.  The show would feature the music of the all-girl band, which was made up of Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin, Charlotte Caffey, Kathy Valentine and Gina Schock.

Jake Gyllenhaal will join Hugh Jackman in the kidnapping thriller Prisoners. The flick stars Jackman as a working-class Boston father who sets out to track down the man he thinks is responsible for kidnapping his daughter and her friend. Along the way, he runs up against the big city detective assigned to the case (Gyllenhaal).

Last week’s release Won’t Back Down, starring Viola Davis and Maggie Gyllenhaal, set a record for the worst opening for a film playing in over 2,500 theaters. The flick earned only $2.6 million, beating out Rain Wilson’s The Rocker, which has held the honor since 2008. It made $2.64 million in its first weekend.

The cast of the upcoming movie Argo will receive the Hollywood Ensemble Acting Award at the 16th Annual Hollywood Film Awards, held October 22nd at the Beverly Hilton. The movie, directed and starring Ben Affleck, tells of the dramatic rescue of six American diplomats during the Iran hostage crisis. The film also stars Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman. It opens in theaters October 12th.

Deadline.com reports that  Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch is in the running to play WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in an upcoming movie.  So far there’s no word from DreamWorks, the studio producing the film.
