REALITY SHOW LEGISLATION NAMED AFTER SNOOKI!

Thanks to the antics of the Jersey Shore cast, the Garden State is looking to tighten their laws regarding reality shows. Ocean County Assemblyman Ronald Dancer has introduced legislation that would allow New Jersey towns to have more control over reality shows shooting in their area. It could also force show producers to pay fees to cover beefed up security for shoots. Of course, to gain a little publicity for the legislation, Dancer has named the bill after everyone’s favorite Jersey Shore star Snooki, calling it the Snookiville Law.

SNOOKI REVEALS POST-BABY BODY!

In other Snooki news…Barely a month after giving birth to son Lorenzo, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi seems to have gotten her figure back. On Saturday, the 24-year-old posed alongside three friends for an Instagram picture, showing off her slim figure in a formfitting miniskirt. And her waistline wasn’t the only thing she was showing off this weekend. On Sunday, she posted a new pic of baby Lorenzo sitting on her lap, with the caption, “My babyyyyy.”

ONE DAY AT A TIME MOM BATTLING PANCREATIC CANCER

Former One Day at a Time star Bonnie Franklin has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a family spokesperson told USA Today. The 68-year-old, who played divorced mom Ann Romano on the CBS sitcom, which ran for nine seasons, is currently undergoing treatment. Added the spokesperson, “She and her family remain extremely positive and thank everyone for their support and concern.”

COOPER’S MOM RESPONSIBLE FOR REUNION WITH SALDANA!

Radaronline reports that Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana have rekindled their romance, and it’s all thanks to Bradley’s mother. The two stars began dating earlier this year after shooting the film The Words, but ended things in March after just three months. But over the weekend, they were spotted walking arm-in-arm after leaving a movie theater and the site claims Bradley’s mother Gloria was the one who pushed them back together.  “It was Gloria who told Bradley to date Zoe again – she loves Zoe,” claims a source. Gloria reportedly told her son the Avatar star was the first girlfriend of his she liked since Renee Zellweger. (Renee and Bradley dated for about a year, with their romance ending in March 2011.)  Said the source, “Gloria told Bradley he should win her back because there were obviously still feelings there, and he did just what she said.”

ABC has officially announced that Sean Lowe will be looking for love on the new season of The Bachelor. Lowe, a Dallas-based businessman, landed in the final three of Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette. The 17th season of The Bachelor will air in January.

LINDSAY BLAMES HEALTH PROBLEMS ON STRESS FROM ARREST!

Lindsay Lohan says her recent arrest is to blame for her health problems.  Lindsay was rushed to a hospital in New York City Sunday with a lung infection, but was later released. TMZ reports she’s telling friends her arrest last week for leaving the scene of an accident caused her so much stress and anxiety it exacerbated the “walking pneumonia” she’s been battling for the last few weeks. Cause all the cigarettes she smokes has nothing to do with it.

A GIUDICE REALITY SHOW!

Radaronline reports that Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice and her family are in talks to get their own spinoff show.  “All the drama and crazy things that Teresa and Joe have done is what makes them perfect candidates for their own breakout show," a source tells RadarOnline.com. "They're in talks right now and the show would include the whole Giudice side of the family, which would explain why we saw more of Joe's brother Pete and his wife Sheila in Housewives last season." Of course, the show may not happen if Joe is convicted of fraud. He is accused of obtaining a fraudulent driver’s license using his brother’s identification.

KELLY’S $250K EMMY MANICURE!

There’s no doubt the stars were sparking with jewels at Sunday’s Emmy Awards, but E! fashion correspondent Kelly Osbourne took it to the extreme. The 27-year-old revealed on Twitter that her nails were dripping in diamonds, thanks to a polish by Los Angeles-based luxury jeweler Azature, which included 267-carat black diamonds, at a cost of $250,000. Kelly tweeted that she was “honored” to be getting the “$250K manicure,” but added “(I’m) absolutely s***ing myself to have that much money on my nails.”

SIMON DATING CARMEN?

Has Simon Cowell found himself a new girlfriend? In Touch Weekly claims Simon has hooked up with Carmen Electra, who he flirted with back in February when she was a guest judge on Britain’s Got Talent. According to the mag, the two stars had an “intimate dinner” at a West Hollywood restaurant over the weekend, where a source claims they were spotted “making out.”  But the Daily Mail says the dating rumors are not true, and the meal was actually a group dinner.

PORTMAN DEBUTS BLONDE ‘DO!

Natalie Portman debuted a new look over the weekend. The Black Swan star was photographed sporting blonde hair at the Van Cleef & Arpels dinner for her husband Benjamin Millepied’s LA Dance Project.  Her colorist Tracey Cunningham told E! news the Oscar winner “came in Thursday and was really excited about having something completely different…it really works for her.” Said Portman of the new look, “my mom says I’m like a different person.”

UGGIE WRITES A MEMOIR!

Uggie, the adorable Jack Russell terrier from the Oscar-winning film The Artist, has written a memoir detailing his life in showbiz. Uggie: My Story hits stores October 16th. The pooch hopes to spread at least one important message with the release of the memoir. “I may be the first dog to win an Oscar and write a best-seller but my most important work is with animal rescue,” he writes. “Please adopt – and if you must buy, buy my book.”

GRAMMER DISCUSSES MARRIAGE REGRETS!

Kelsey Grammer walked off Piers Morgan’s show last week because he didn’t want to talk about his ex-wife Camille, but he had a change of heart for Anderson Cooper. Anderson asked Grammer if he regretted letting the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cameras in his house as his marriage was falling apart, and it sure sounds like he did. “I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of letting her have that moment,” Grammer said in an interview airing today. “It was just ill advised. It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met [current wife] Kayte and just said, ‘Listen I’ve met somebody and this hasn’t been working for a long time.’ I regret not doing that.”

TV TIDBITS!

NBC has ordered a fourth and fifth cycle of The Voice, which will air in the spring and fall of 2013. It has already been announced that Usher and Shakira will sub for judges Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera during the fourth cycle.

British Prime Minister David Cameron will be a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman tonight.  He will be the first sitting UK Prime Minister ever to appear on the late night program.  Cameron is in New York for the UN General Assembly, and is expected to use his appearance to “bang the drum for British business.”

30 Rock may be ending this season, but Tina Fey won’t be going far. According to the Hollywood  Reporter, Fey has signed a new four-year deal to develop TV projects for NBCUniversal.

Deadline.com reports that directors Joel and Ethan Coen are teaming with FX to develop an hour-long TV series based on their flick Fargo. The film starred Frances McDormand as a pregnant Minnesota police chief following two bumbling criminals (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) who are hired by a car salesman (William H. Macy) to kidnap his wife.

USA has renewed Royal Pains, White Collar and Covert Affairs.  The network has ordered 26 more episodes of Royal Pains, over two seasons, while White Collar and Covert Affairs where each given a 16-episode pickup.

The Dark Knight Rises’ Tom Hardy is in talks to play George Mallory in the Sony Pictures flick Everest.  In the 1920s, Mallory tried three times to become the first man to scale the world’s highest mountain. He and his partner Andrew “Sandy” Irvine disappeared on their third attempt. His body was finally discovered in 1999.

The Dark Knight Rises’ Anne Hathaway is reportedly interested in starring opposite Chris Hemsworth in Steven Spielberg’s next blockbuster Robopocalypse.  The film, based on the Daniel H. Wilson book, takes place in the near future when modern society is on the brink of extermination at the hands of robots.
