Researchers may have finally discovered the secret to eternal life. Well, not exactly…but they did find that simple lifestyle changes, like eating healthier, exercising regularly and meditating to control stress, may halt and even reverse aging at the cellular level. The small study looked at 35 men with prostate cancer. Those men who switched to a strict routine that involved a vegetarian diet, exercise and stress-reducing meditation and yoga were found to have genetically younger cells than other patients. While the cells of men who made healthy lifestyle changes grew 10% over time, men who didn’t make changes experienced a 3% decrease, suggesting certain lifestyle factors may influence the aging process of cells.
