Renee's Adoptables: Meet Atlas!

Meet Atlas!

Four-year-old Atlas is a shy male orange tabby cat who is looking for a family that will provide him with a peaceful and loving environment. Atlas came to us earlier this month as a stray that was found in a backyard. Now he is ready to snuggle up in your arms!

The family that Atlas is looking for must have a home where he can be the only pet because he loves attention. Adorable Atlas is purring at the thought of sharing a bond with adults in a single-family home. He will also do best with children over the age of ten who are gentle and respectful of pets. While he enjoys being loved, he does not enjoy being picked up and will do well sharing his love for you on his terms. Affectionate Atlas is available in Newington.

About CT Humane Society

Way back in 1881, a Hartford High School senior named Gertrude O. Lewis wanted to find a way to help animals of Connecticut. She gathered support in her community – including some of Connecticut’s most prominent citizens of the time – and that very same year, Gertrude founded the Connecticut Humane Society.

And all these years later, the work continues. CHS is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, serving thousands of pets every year. As an independent nonprofit organization, CHS does not receive any funding from the government and is not associated with any national animal welfare groups. The pets rely solely on the generosity and support of donors and volunteers.
