On Friday, March 8th, iHeartMedia presented an inspirational conversation with fearless women from across Connecticut in honor of International Women's Day. Hosted by iHeartMedia's Renee DiNino and Keynote Speaker, Connecticut Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, this two-hour special event celebrated the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and the importance of inclusion. This week, we will be featuring each of the fearless local women who spoke on the panel.
Chris-Ann Miller, founder and CEO of the Ital Juicery Company Restaurant & Catering, is a trailblazer and pioneer for "food equity." Born and raised in Jamaica (West Indies), with "farm to fork" adventures, Chris-Ann has expanded her clean juices and beverages business to include clean and healthy food products and gelatos. Chris-Ann has participated in the Food Sustainability Marathon to help reduce food waste, increase soil fertility, and promote anaerobic digestion (food waste to energy). Healthy soil regeneration is a value passed down to her from her great grandfather. Chris-Ann is a dedicated mother as well as a graduate of the University of St. Joseph. Her vision for Hartford and beyond is to promote #cleanlabelingredients.
