Newington Parks & Rec Kindness Counts Bring Your Own Cheese (BYOC) Party

Newington Parks & Rec cordially invites you to our Bring Your Own Cheese (BYOC) Party, which will be held at the “Kindness Court” next to the pavilion at Mill Pond Park on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

As an incentive for returning your Kindness Counts sign, we will give you a complimentary free glass of wine per sign (for recipients 21 and over), generously sponsored by Happy Harry’s Wine & Liquor Warehouse of Newington, or a free soft serve delectable ice cream at the Snack Shack at Mill Pond Park. Please bring your Kindness Counts sign to the park promptly at 6:00 p.m.

That evening, we will be hosting the Adult Cornhole League and the featured dance band, New England’s Head Over Heels, will perform at 6:30 p.m. This will be a safe night of tremendous fun, as we practice social distancing, so don’t miss out! Mark your calendars and meet the Newington Parks and Recreation Department staff at the Bring Your Own Cheese (BYOC) Party at Mill Pond Park. The Newington Parks and Recreation staff will also recognize you by taking a drone picture of all 500 of the Kindness Counts recipients holding their signs. We will exercise social distancing and take a spread-out group picture.

Please remember to bring your signs and stakes to the park so we can continue to use the signs to spread the Kindness Counts Campaign next year. If you are unable to attend our celebration party, please drop off your signs and stakes to the Newington Parks and Recreation Office by Friday, August 14, 2020. We will be offering curbside drop off on Garfield Street. If you choose this method, please call the Parks and Recreation Office at 860-665-8666 when you arrive and our staff will come out and pick it up from you.
