Girl Scouts of CT Camp Season is ON!

Listen to Renee chat with Mary Barneby, Chief Executive Officer for Girl Scouts of CT, about some exciting camping news!

Girl Scout Summer Day Camp!

Four of Girl Scouts of Connecticut’s Day Camps will be open this summer – Opening Day is July 6:

  • Camp Aspetuck in Weston
  • Camp An-Se-Ox in Oxford
  • Camp Merrie-Wood in Manchester
  • Laurel Day Camp in Lebanon

All girls ages 5-17 are invited to attend camp! Financial Aid is also available when completing the camp registration form.

At Girl Scouts Day Camps, girls discover new skills, find their voices, make new friends, and take part in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

Camp Cleanliness

All Girl Scout camps have been thoroughly cleaned and new signage has been added featuring safety tips from the CDC and State of Connecticut guidelines.

Camps will continue to be cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected daily and between activities.

Families received safety guidelines, including information on daily procedures for health screenings, temperature checks, hand washing, and mask usage.

Social Distancing at Camp

To help with social distancing, girls attending camp will be placed in groups of eight with one counselor. Each group of eight is referred to as a “small camp.”

Girls can still have fun at camp! Activities will include crafts, outdoor living skills, badge work, environmental education, and small group games.
