Disneyland Resort Donates Food After Closure

Disneyland has closed its doors temporarily over coronavirus concerns and Disney Parks has announced a silver lining with the news. Disneyland Resort will be donating all excess food during closure to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, California.

Disney explains, “While closely following food safety guidelines, excess inventory of dairy, fruit, vegetables, packaged goods and banquet meals is being donated to Second Harvest, whose mission is to end hunger in Orange County.”

This continues the park’s commitment to reducing food waste. Last year alone the Disneyland Resort donated more than 20-thousand meals to Second Harvest.
