UConn Women Lose On Campus...Geno Rocks A Kobe Jersey

It was a tough night last night in Storrs...it was also an emotional one...

The #4 ranked UConn Women's Basketball team lost to the #3 ranked Oregon Ducks last night. Oregon seemed to easily hand UConn its second loss of the season with a final score of 74 -56. This is the first loss for the Huskies at the Gampel Pavilion since 2013.

UConn women’s basketball coach,Geno Auriemma, honored his long-time friend, legend Kobe Bryant by wearing a #8 Bryant jersey from the sidelines of a sold-out game at Gampel Pavillion as he coached the lady Huskies.

Geno wore the #8 Kobe jersey on the sideline to honor Kobe, along with his daughter Gianna and seven other people who died just over a week ago on that horrific helicopter crash.

The Uconn Women will host Memphis this Friday looking to rebound from this loss.
