#GoodNews 10yr & 12yr Old Brothers Play The Travelers!

From Eversource...

Two Terryville brothers have been selected for Eversource’s PGA Player Experience for Junior Golfers and will be playing at the Traveler’s Championship today.

They’re only 10 and 12 years old and are already golf fanatics. Ten-year-old Robert Schnaars and 12-year-old Daniel Schnaars are both active in sports and student council at Harry S. Fisher Elementary and Eli Terry Middle school, but golf is their clear favorite.

The Terryville brothers first started swinging the clubs three years ago and have participated in many golf clinics and events. On Tuesday, they’ll be hitting the links with some of golf’s elite players at the Travelers Championship. The pair is among the 40 young golfers from around the state selected to participate in this year’s Eversource PGA Player Experience for Junior Golfers at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

“I’m so excited we were chosen for this event,” said Dan. “I’m eager to learn new things from the pros to improve my game and take those tips back and share with my friends on my golf team.”

“It’s unbelievable that we get to play with some of the best players in the world,” added Robert. “This is a great opportunity. I hope it helps me improve my golf skills.”

The siblings were selected for the Player Experience based on a personal essay about their golf experience and how they could benefit from the opportunity to participate. In addition to playing with some of the pros, Dan and Robert, and the other chosen participants will attend private golf clinics, a Q&A session with the elite players, and a dinner reception.
