94 Year Old Vet Greets Middle Schoolers Everyday!

U.S. Navy veteran Wally Richardson has a daily routine. Everyday the 94-year-old California man stands outside Marina Village Middle School in El Dorado Hills and greets students with fist bumps and smiles.

The kids can’t get enough of the man they call “Mr. Knuckles.” He’s been doing it for the last 10 years and it’s a custom the students have really come to love and count on as a positive way to start their day.

“He talks about kindness and gives us advice and fist bumps,” explains Audrey Arnold, a daily visitor of Richardson’s. “It’s the best part of the day.”
