A couple of local fishermen accidentally came up with a unique way to cap off 'shark week. Yesterday afternoon less than a mile out from Misquamicut State Beach their fishing boat hauled in a 6 foot Great White Shark. Fisherman Michael Lorello posted pictures and videos of the encounter to his Facebook page showing the catch and CAREFUL release of the shark just after noon yesterday about 3/4 of a mile from the shoreline. The video shows the fishermen hoist up the shark, which was very much still alive, and release it back into the water where it appeared to swim away. Local beach goers were quoted as saying “wait they did what with it?” Well, it is #SharkWeek!
