Tiger Vs. Phil $10-Million Match Play Event!!!

Remember back at the Players Championship when Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson paired together for the first two rounds and you thought how cool it was to watch them play head to head.

Yeah, so did Tiger and Phil. In fact, they talked about it so much that they seemed to have talked themselves into it.

At least according to Golf.com who reported the two PGA Icons are in negotiations to play a winner-take-all match for $10-million.

Actually, Phil started the golf ball rolling when the Players Championship grouping was announced in May, suggesting he and Tiger skip "the ancillary stuff of a tournament and just go head-to-head and just have kind of a high-stakes, winner-take-all match."

When presented later with the idea, Woods didn't shoot it down.

"I'm definitely not against that," he said then. "We'll play for whatever makes him uncomfortable."

And while $10-mill makes Phil uncomfortable, it seems nothing has made Tiger uncomfortable this PGA season—not even his back.

Which makes for a match so great that we already know the winner—the PGA—who make so much coin on it they should pay the winner.
